Wife of a tourist from Japan who had come down with the symptoms of coronavirus while she was on a vacation in Hawaii has also fallen sick too with this illness as per the confirmation from Hawaii health department on this Saturday.
The male tourist from Japan had visited Maui from the 28th of January to the 3rd of February and also Oahu from 3rd of February to 7th of February. He had been experiencing a lot of mild, similar to flu symptoms on 3rd of February and had then gone to Japan on 7th of February. He had then been diagnosed with the coronavirus when he returned to Japan and had been hospitalized.
The health department of the state had been advised that the tourist’s wife has now also been hospitalized. As per the spokesperson, there is no confirmation as of now on the name, residence or age of this couple.
The male had stayed in the Hilton Grand while he was on Oahu. There is no clarity over where he had stayed in Maui. There isn’t any information about the airlines which was used for travel as well when it comes to travel to and back from Hawaii.
The Hawaiian Airlines has also sent out a statement on this Friday where they said that the tourist from Japan had flown to Oahu from Maui on the 3rd of February. The crew members as well as the passengers who were on the flight have been contacted for making sure that they are supported and remain healthy as per the airlines.
.Health department has said that till now there is no information about anyone in Hawaii having this disease.
