United Nations reports shows 473 billion people not finding employment

A report from the United Nations has revealed that close to half a billion people across the world have been unable to adequately find the paid work and that has trapped these individuals to be forced to live in poverty and has heightened the levels of inequality.

In the study which was published recently as the leaders of the world have gone to Davos in the World economic forum to discuss the concerns regarding climate crisis and inequality, the ILO from United Nations has said that over 473 million people in the world had lacked the opportunities for meeting their needs.

Further, the agency had said that the unemployment in the world had been due to increase for the maiden time in a decade as the economic growth had shown weaker levels leading to a lot of people being out of work and the number has risen by close to 2.5 million and stood now at over 190 million.

This report has come after United Nations a week ago said that the tensions of trade risked a dragging of global growth downwards in the year, in one development that is going to derail the efforts which are going to tackle the menace of poverty in the countries which do not have a high level of income  and distract them from the task of managing climate change.

Out of the population which is in a working age of close to 5.7 billion people all over the world, ILO has found 165 million people employed but not able to find the work with an adequate number of paid hours for meeting the needs for themselves and their household.
