More than 2,700 cases of Corona virus in China as death toll hits 80

China and some other countries around the world are battling hard but in vain to contain the release and spread of a new corona virus that had affected millions around the world and various Chinese provinces. The death toll has so far crossed the 80 mark.

It is estimated that more than 56 million people alone are infected with the virus in China alone. The province where the first news of the virus spreading was recorded was Wuhan. The province since then has been under strict lockdown from the health officers and authorities.

People all around the world are fearing that the spread of the disease is not contained it might turn out to be a global epidemic. China is also under severe pressure from the WHO and governments of several other countries to restrict the virus and take adequate steps. Since the lunar year celebrations in China the disease has spread very rapidly in China.

In fact many NGOs and health authorities around the world are helping China to stop the transmission of the disease.

The World Health Organization has told that it was aware of a serious respiratory disease outbreak in China but told that it was too early to declare an emergency situation as it will cause further unrest and concern among the public.

UK health ministry has declared that anyone who has returned from Wuhan to Great Britain should stay indoors to avoid direct contact with other persons to contain the disease.

As of Monday Britain declared that it had recorded as many as 73 cases of people who have tested positive for the presence of the corona virus but so far had not recorded any confirmed cases.

Public Health department officials are continuing to keep a close watch at the airports on the persons returning from Wuhan.
