The Scandinavians have everything from the public health care as well as education for everyone which is something that the world envies to the reasonable number of working hours along with loads of paid vacations. All of these countries can be hailed as they have been able to get it right however there is one drawback as they are a disaster ecologically.
The countries have the highest usage of resources and also have the greatest levels of CO2 emission in the world as per their consumption and them overshooting the boundaries of a safe planet regularly and drastically.
The ecologists have said that the usage of resources at a sustainable level is close to 7 tons per person in a year of material stuff. The Scandinavians have been consuming an average of over 32 tons in a year. This is many times more than sustainable levels.
The levels are similar to the United States which is driven by the overconsumption of absolutely everything from plastic to meat to cars.
Also for emissions, these countries perform a lot better than the other European countries but a little better than egregious offenders like Australia, Canada, and the United States.
