Major operators getting in on the 5G bandwagon in the New Year

5G had been touted as the game changer for 2019 however in actuality the coverage of the 5G has stayed non –existent effectively for a great majority of the users of mobile in the United States. Adding to that is the fact that the numbers of phones which are 5G enabled and available to be bought are not that many.

However with 2020 not very far away, there is a signal that an upward trend is beginning in the coverage of 5G from many carriers. For instance, AT&T has launched their coverage of 5G across 10 cities recently and the list of cities includes a lot of the important cities of Untied States.

AT&T has though been infamous about their use of 4G networks and labeling them to be 5G E services by using a logo on the android devices and this was considered by many to be misleading. This time however it seems that they are talking about legit connectivity and not a misleading gimmick.

AT&T had defended this practice by stating that the symbol of 5G E had appeared just in the markets that were supporting the most advanced of the technologies.

This being put aside, AT&T has been planning to be aggressive about their expansion of the 5G services across the nation as the New Year gets underway. AT&T is going to begin with a few cities like Buffalo and Boston however it has plans of making its network available throughout the nation by the first half of the next year.

This expansion by networks is also going to bring in an expansion in the phones which have a 5G connectivity option.
