Three years after their revelations of a plan for the construction of a factory based out of Casa Grande which is going to be dedicated for the creation of Lucid Air is now operational.
The startup which is engaged in the creation of electric vehicle had inaugurated the construction at a ceremony which has been termed as revolutionary and had been attended by Dough Ducey who is the governor of Arizona and also by other officials locally and the state officials as well.
The CTO and CEO of Peter Rawlinson has said in a news release that they are proud that they are moving ahead on the commitment for the manufacturing of Lucid Air in the city of Casa Grande. He further said that the investors had been supporting and the team of designers who he termed outstanding along with the engineers and the strategists who created a strategy that went above and beyond air. He went on to say that this was only the beginning of their presence in this city.
Lucid Air is an electric sedan which has a horsepower of 400 and is luxury vehicle which has been designed by the veterans of the company Tesla Motors. The size is similar to that of an A6 by Audi and it offers a driving range of 400 miles with a time of less than 2.5 for going 0-60 mph. The base price of the vehicle has been speculated to be around $60,000 to begin with.
The vehicle which is a reality now after long anticipation after a company had secured a funding of $1 billion from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last year.
